Ioana Pătrașcu is a legal officer in the Unit “Consumer and marketing law” of the European Commission, Directorate-General Justice and Consumers. She contributed to the drafting of the 2018 “New Deal for Consumers” legislative proposals that aim to modernise EU consumer law, in particular the proposal for a Directive on representative actions for the protection of the collective interests of consumers. She is part of the European Commission team in charge of the inter-institutional negotiations on this file with the European Parliament and the Council.
Before joining the European Commission, Ioana Pătrașcu was a lecturer in public law, teaching EU law, constitutional law and administrative law at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas. She holds a Master degree in European Union Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
Ioana Pătrașcu est fonctionnaire au sein de l’unité “Droit de la consommation et du marketing” de la Commission européenne, direction générale Justice et consommateurs. Elle a contribué à l’élaboration des propositions législatives “New Deal for Consumers” de 2018 qui visent à moderniser le droit communautaire de la consommation, en particulier la proposition de Directive relative aux actions représentatives dans le domaine de la protection des intérêts collectifs des consommateurs. Elle fait partie de l’équipe de la Commission européenne chargée des négociations interinstitutionnelles sur ce dossier avec le Parlement européen et le Conseil.
Avant de rejoindre la Commission européenne, Ioana Pătrașcu était chargé de cours en droit public, enseignant le droit communautaire, le droit constitutionnel et le droit administratif à l’Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Elle est titulaire d’une maîtrise en droit de l’Union européenne de l’Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
Ioana Pătrașcu ist Beamtin in der Abteilung “Verbraucher- und Marketingrecht” der Europäischen Kommission, Generaldirektion Justiz und Verbraucher. Sie war an der Ausarbeitung der Legislativvorschläge 2018 “New Deal for Consumers” beteiligt, die auf die Modernisierung des EU-Verbraucherrechts abzielen, insbesondere des Vorschlags für die Richtlinie über Verbandsklagen zum Schutz der Kollektivinteressen der Verbraucher. Sie ist Teil des Teams der Europäischen Kommission, das für die interinstitutionellen Verhandlungen über dieses Dossier mit dem Europäischen Parlament und dem Rat zuständig ist.
Bevor Ioana bei der Europäischen Kommission begonnen hat zu arbeiten, war sie Dozentin für öffentliches Recht, lehrte EU-, Verfassungs- und Verwaltungsrecht an der Universität Paris II Panthéon-Assas. Sie hat einen Master-Abschluss im Recht der Europäischen Union von der Universität Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
